With Valentine’s Day around the corner, Souper has decided to show you how to serve two of our old favourites for a special loved one.
First up is Broccoli. If you really want to impress a date, serve this beautiful, smooth and light soup as an appetizer before dinner. You can even pass it off as your own creation (we won’t tell!). If you’re going to pair this soup with wine for Valentine’s Day, we recommend a light red, like Pinot Noir or a delicate white, such as a Chardonnay or Reisling.
Next is Bacon White Bean. If you’re having a more low-key Valentine’s Day (or perhaps you’re not the best cook) you can serve this tomato-based, dairy free soup with a grilled cheese sandwich. Pair it with an inexpensive wine or beer of your choice. While this meal is nostalgic, it’s certainly not basic!
